Fortnite Black Manta trailer hints at the return of this fan-favorite weapon
After much anticipation and hype, both Aquaman and Black Manta entered Fortnite on July 16. Epic have been overwhelming the hybrid game inside the previous year. Fortnite is the main spot where DC, Marvel, Star Wars, NFL, and Stranger Things characters all exist inside absolutely precisely the same universe.
Both Aquaman and Black Manta came together with trailers. The former seemed to tease the rumored”Atlantis” POI within his trailer. It’s possible to observe a brand new location in the desktop, which can be either an unreleased POI or a callback into the map at the end of Chapter 2 Season 2. We’ll have to wait until the water levels go down before we know for sure.
The Black Manta trailer may have experienced a hidden detail as well, that many fans missed at first glimpse. As Black Manta and his group of Scuba Jonesys stormed the Fishstick chemical, one of the removed bass dropped a weapon that is not at the recent Fortnite loot pool.
If you look closely in one of those frames, it is possible to see Black Manta pass by a Heavy AR on the ground — a weapon which was vaulted when Season 3 came out. The Epic and famous versions of this weapon were some of the hardest-hitting ARs in Fortnite, even though they exchanged damage for a slow fire speed and big spread.
This might be a teaser that the Heavy AR will go back to Fortnite this year. Although this weapon wasn’t at the original Fortnite loot pool, it became a staple of the game after it was published. An AK-style weapon is typically a must-have in all shooter titles, and Fortnite is not any different.
We still have about a month left in Fortnite Season 3, which means that there is lots of time for your Heavy AR to return. Many fans would rather find a newer weapon — one that was not available last season — but a few variety is always a good thing. The current Unvaulted LTM has shown that.
